Rep. Good Opposes House Democrats' So-Called "Voting Rights Act"

August 25, 2021

WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Bob Good (VA-05) released the following statement on his opposition to H.R. 4, House Democrats' so-called "Voting Rights Act."

"H.R. 4, the so-called “Voting Rights Act” is a Democrat power grab which nationalizes election law and attacks the constitutional framework created by our Founding Fathers," said U.S. Representative Bob Good (VA-05). "Biden's Department of Justice is lying about the impact of election integrity laws passing in the states, and that is why they will lose their lawsuits against Georgia and other states that are better securing their elections. Speaker Pelosi wants to give the Biden Department of Justice a veto to destroy state voter ID laws, because they cannot be repealed through the courts. I strongly oppose this unconstitutional legislation and I urge my colleagues to join me in support of free and fair elections."
